Application scope
It is mainly used for the starting and speed regulating of the large and medium-sized wound asynchronous electric machines of centrifugal air blower fans, water pumps, rolling mills and other similar equipment in such industrial departments as building materials, metallurgy, electric power and mining.
It is especially applicable to those trades with demanding requirements for equipment reliability, for example, energy-saving transformation in such trades as electric power and mining. The speed regulator is also applicable to the rat-cage electric machines that have undertaken special transformation, without the need of changing the original machine parameters and cement basis or bringing any damage to the original electric machines.

Stepless speed regulating with regulating ratio at 2 to 1 or in a more extensive range.
Significant energy-saving effects, following close to frequency-converting and saving more energy by 3-8% than liquid couplers; if utility ratio of the air quantity is 85-60%, the energy-saving effects can amount to 25-50%.
Compared with liquid couplers, it is more flexible in arrangement and more convenient for use; if the cooling water capacity is at about 40%, it is exempt from maintenance on the whole; no slip and be able to operate at full tilt.
More economical, reliable than frequency-converting and controllable silicon tandem speed regulators; no harmonic waves.
Additional function of starting electric machines, with such advantages as small starting current, stable starting and low voltage starting.
Better linearity of regulating air quantity.
